Ben and Melissa Erway

Assistant Director and Facilities Manager

Ben and Melissa met while working at camp and were married in December 2019. Ben grew up in Tioga County on a small family farm and was active in the Boy Scouts which established his passion for camp. He attended Appalachian Bible College majoring in Bible & Theology and Camping. After completing his degree, he moved out to California to serve as an intern and then in many other roles at Wolf Mountain Camp. Melissa moved around a lot as a kid because her dad was in the Army. She has always had a love for horses and as a teenager started riding often which became her foundation for using the outdoors as a ministry. She attended Maranatha Baptist University, where she studied Christian Ministry and Business. She was recruited initially to Wolf Mountain Camp's summer staff to be a horse wrangler.

Ben and Melissa's passion in ministry is to reach people and help open up new opportunities for them. They love to make their home a place where people can engage in honest conversations that lead them to know God more.

Ben and Melissa have a son, Nathan, who was born in 2022.
