David and Ashley have been married since 2013 and have six children. David grew up on a small farm in Lancaster, PA, and graduated from Grove City College. He has a heart for teaching God's Word and shepherding God's people. Ashley grew up as a missionary kid in Belgium. She caught a vision for gap year ministry through her own experience attending Cairn University's Wisconsin Wilderness Campus,  studied camping and youth ministry, and completed the LTD program at Camp Forest Springs.

 

Their love for the Lord and His great outdoors brought them together while they were students at Westminster Theological Seminary. Following seminary David served for 6 years as the Medical Department Administrator at Esperanza Health Center in North Philadelphia and was part of the preaching rotation at their church. During that time Ashley worked as a stay-at-home mom and taught at a women’s Bible study. They love playing games, making music, and writing stories. They are thrilled for the opportunity to open up God’s Word while exploring creation alongside Planted students.
